Affirming the role of the Department of Biology in supporting awareness initiatives with humanitarian and societal impact, and its commitment to promoting a culture of safety and responsibility among students, the department organized an awareness campaign on traffic safety and accident prevention, under the supervision of Lecturer Assistant (M.Sc.) Duha Salah Sahib. The campaign included the distribution of educational brochures throughout the corridors of Al-Mustaqbal University, addressing key guidelines and instructions related to traffic safety, such as adherence to traffic laws, wearing seat belts, avoiding excessive speed and mobile phone use while driving, in addition to raising awareness about the health, social, and economic impacts of traffic accidents. The Department of Biology’s interest in organizing this activity stems from its academic and educational role in linking scientific knowledge with practical reality, and in reinforcing concepts of proper behavior and health and social awareness within the university environment.
