The Biomedical Engineering Department at Future University held a specialized workshop titled "Fundamentals of Safe Handling of Medical Devices" as part of the college's activities to enhance students' practical skills.
The workshop was held under the supervision of Dr. Hiba Dhiaa Abdul-Amir.
The workshop focused on providing students with hands-on training in the proper and safe handling of sensitive medical devices, such as patient monitors and defibrillators, explaining their mechanisms and the principles of occupational safety.
• Objectives: The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, and to ensure students' competence in maintaining and operating medical equipment, thus guaranteeing the safety of both staff and patients.
This workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education), by preparing skilled engineers who contribute to the development of the healthcare sector.
