Design and Innovation at the Forefront of the Architecture and Arts Hackathon at Al-Mustaqbal University

The College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a specialized applied workshop entitled “Architecture and Arts Hackathon: Design and Innovation,” under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Fine Arts, Professor Dr. Mazen Hadi Kazzar. This workshop was held as part of the college’s academic vision aimed at strengthening practical education and developing students’ creativity and design thinking skills. The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Rawaa Ali Younis, a faculty member at the College of Fine Arts. She introduced students to the concept of hackathons in the fields of architecture and arts, mechanisms of teamwork, and methods for developing creative ideas and transforming them into implementable design solutions, based on scientific principles and modern techniques in modeling and presentation. The workshop witnessed notable interaction from students, as it focused on encouraging innovation, fostering teamwork, and linking theoretical knowledge with practical application. This approach contributes to preparing students with contemporary skills that align with the requirements of the labor market. This workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by supporting quality learning, enhancing practical learning opportunities, and building the creative and technical capacities of architecture and arts students.
