Awareness Campaign on the Impact of Violence Against Women on Their Health to Promote Community Awareness

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, the respected President of Future University, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Department of Industrial College Techniques organized, as part of implementing the Third National Plan for Women, Security, and Peace / Pillar of Prevention and Protection / Paragraph Three, and in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 5 (Gender Equality), an awareness campaign was held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The campaign included the distribution of an awareness brochure titled: “The Impact of Violence Against Women on Their Health.” It focused on raising awareness about the risks of various types of violence and their negative effects on women’s physical and mental health, including physical consequences such as injuries and chronic pain, psychological effects including anxiety and depression, as well as impacts on reproductive health and weakened immune system. The campaign emphasized the importance of supporting women affected by violence, providing them with necessary protection and care, and strengthening community and institutional efforts to reduce this serious phenomenon.
