The Department of Anesthesia Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized an educational workshop titled “Preoperative Patient Assessment”, presented by Professor Ali Qasim, as part of the department’s efforts to develop the scientific and practical skills of students and academic staff. The workshop aimed to highlight the scientific principles of assessing a patient’s health status before surgery, given its crucial role in reducing complications and improving the quality of healthcare, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-Being). The workshop was attended by several department professors, along with students, and included fruitful discussions on best modern practices in anesthesia techniques and clinical patient assessment.
