The Department of Fuel and Energy Technologies organized an awareness workshop entitled “Against Domestic Violence”, as part of its commitment to addressing social and humanitarian issues and promoting a respectful and safe academic environment. The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Ali Yaseen The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of domestic violence and its . various forms, highlight its psychological and social impacts on individuals, families, and society, and emphasize the importance of prevention and the promotion of dialogue and mutual understanding as foundations for a healthy family and cohesive community. The workshop stressed the vital role of educational institutions in raising students’ awareness of the dangers of domestic violence and reinforcing ethical and humanitarian values, in line with the university’s mission of community service. This workshop contributes to SDG 5 Gender Equality by reducing domestic violence and supports SDG 16 Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions by strengthening family protection and promoting a safe society
