The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an awareness seminar entitled “Dealing with Academic Stress and Positive Coping Strategies”, under the supervision of Lecturer M.M. Montathir Saleh Mahdi and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan, as part of efforts to promote mental health and support students throughout their educational journey.
The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of academic stress and its psychological and academic causes, while highlighting its impact on students’ academic performance and psychological well-being. It also addressed several important topics, most notably time management techniques, anxiety management, building self-motivation, and developing positive coping skills to مواجهة academic challenges.
The seminar included interactive discussions and practical examples that contributed to raising students’ awareness of the importance of achieving a balance between study and personal life, and encouraged them to adopt healthy and positive strategies for dealing with stress, thereby enhancing their ability to achieve academic success and maintain psychological stability.
