Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the Intersec 2026 Exhibition and Conference, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 12 to 14, 2026. Intersec is recognized as one of the largest and most significant international events in the fields of security, safety, and fire protection, bringing together leading industry experts and innovators to showcase the latest technologies and solutions in national security, cybersecurity, information security, fire protection, and occupational health and safety. The exhibition hosted more than 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries, including the United States, several European countries such as Germany and Turkey, China, and numerous Arab and international nations. The event welcomed over 50,000 specialized visitors from around the world and featured more than 250 conferences and workshops presented by global experts, across an exhibition area of approximately 65,000 square meters. During his visit, the University President toured several leading company pavilions, where he reviewed the latest innovations in fire protection systems, safety solutions, smart technologies, risk management systems, as well as advanced digital and sensor-based solutions aimed at enhancing security and health operations. His tour also included a visit to the NAFCO Pavilion, where he was introduced to the company’s state-of-the-art fire protection and safety systems, developed in accordance with the highest international standards. NAFCO is one of the major U.S.-based companies sponsoring the event and is currently contracted with the Al-Mustaqbal University Teaching Hospital to implement an advanced and integrated fire and safety system. Furthermore, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi attended several specialized sessions and conferences, including the Firefighting and Rescue Conference organized by the National Fire Protection Association, and participated in the Innovation Forum, Control Rooms, and Smart Systems sessions. The participation of Al-Mustaqbal University in this prestigious event reflects its commitment to strengthening international partnerships, fostering cooperation with global security and technology companies, and benefiting from the latest global advancements to achieve the highest standards of safety and security across its facilities and within the local community.
