As part of supporting student activities aimed at enhancing mental skills and logical thinking, Muntadhar Adnan Abdulhadi, a first-year student in the Department of Fuel and Energy Technologies, participated in a chess activity organized ضمن the department’s student events. The activity was held under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Ali Yassin and followed up by Engineer Abdullah Marza Hamza, highlighting the importance of extracurricular activities in developing students’ cognitive abilities, focus, and decision-making skills, as well as promoting positive interaction and constructive competition. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly: SDG 4: Quality Education, by fostering critical thinking and learning beyond the traditional academic framework. SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, through supporting mental activities that enhance cognitive well-being. The Department of Fuel and Energy Technologies continues to encourage student participation in extracurricular activities due to their significant role in building well-rounded student personalities and supporting academic development.
