Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Engineering Technical College / Department of Analytical Chemistry organized an awareness activity on Friday, January 10, 2026.
The activity was titled:
“Advanced Practical Application of the Boiling Point Determination Experiment in the Analytical Chemistry Laboratory.”
The activity was supervised by Engineer Tabarak Mohsen Ashour, during which students performed the boiling point determination experiment to understand the significance of boiling point as a fundamental physical property used for identifying pure substances and assessing their purity.
The experiment focused on developing students’ skills in using laboratory instruments, recording readings accurately, and analyzing results according to proper scientific methodology, while emphasizing strict adherence to laboratory safety procedures.
The activity aimed to enhance the practical aspect of the curriculum, connect theoretical concepts with hands-on application, and prepare graduates capable of contributing to scientific research and technological development, with safe and efficient use of chemicals and minimizing laboratory waste.
This activity falls within the pillar of empowerment and development and reflects the department’s ongoing efforts to support applied education and develop students’ scientific capabilities, in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
