The university plays a fundamental role in building the student’s character both academically and ethically, and the university lecturer is a pivotal element in instilling sound values among students. The role of the lecturer is not limited to the transfer of knowledge; it extends to fostering ethical and behavioral principles that contribute to preparing an aware and responsible student. The lecturer serves as a role model for students through commitment to academic integrity, respect for time, and fairness in interaction and assessment, which reinforces the values of honesty, discipline, and mutual respect. The lecturer also contributes to strengthening values by linking scientific content with ethical and humanitarian dimensions, emphasizing academic responsibility, and rejecting negative behaviors such as cheating and plagiarism. In addition, the lecturer encourages constructive dialogue and critical thinking, which develops students’ ability to express opinions and respect others. The guidance and mentoring provided further promote values of patience, perseverance, and a sense of belonging to society. Thus, the university lecturer fulfills an integrated educational mission that contributes to graduating generations who combine knowledge with sound values.
