The Department of Forensic Evidence Organizes a Workshop on Developing Women’s Academic and Professional Skills

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the participation of the Dean of the College of Science, and under the supervision of the Head of the Department of Forensic Evidence, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sami Abdulhussein Habbana, the Department of Forensic Evidence at the College of Science – Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Developing Women’s Academic and Professional Skills.” The workshop was held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in the Student Activities Hall, Old Medical Building, Ground Floor, with the attendance of a number of faculty members and students. The workshop aimed to enhance women’s academic and professional capacities, empower them to develop their scientific and practical skills, and support their effective role in society and the labor market, in line with sustainable development principles. The workshop included valuable lectures delivered by: Ms. Huweida Nazzal Hussein Ms. Waqar Jannat Jasim This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: SDG 4: Quality Education, by supporting lifelong learning and academic capacity building. SDG 5: Gender Equality, through empowering women and enhancing their participation. SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by developing professional skills and preparing women for the labor market. The Department of Forensic Evidence affirms its commitment to organizing scientific and awareness activities that contribute to women’s empowerment and strengthen their academic and professional role.
