The Department of Anesthesia Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University organized an educational workshop for first-year students, held within the department’s laboratories. The workshop focused on how to determine blood groups, differentiate between various types, and understand the characteristics of each blood group. The workshop was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Zaid Joudat Al-Azzawi, who emphasized the critical importance of knowing one’s blood type, especially in blood transfusions and organ transplantation. He explained that incompatible blood transfusions can trigger a severe immune response, as the body recognizes foreign blood as an intruder and attacks it, potentially leading to serious health complications. This workshop is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to enhance the educational process and develop practical skills among students, aiming to prepare a generation that is scientifically knowledgeable and proficient in both theoretical and practical aspects.
