he Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an introductory workshop on Laboratory Safety under the supervision of Teaching Assistant Mohammed Habib Hussein.
The workshop was held with the aim of raising awareness about safety and security procedures inside laboratories, and was attended by a number of students, trainees, and individuals interested in the scientific field.
The workshop addressed the importance of adhering to safety instructions, safe handling of chemical materials and laboratory equipment, as well as introducing personal protective equipment (PPE) and explaining how to use it correctly. It also covered proper response mechanisms in emergency situations such as chemical spills or fires.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the organizers emphasized that commitment to safety procedures contributes to providing a safe educational and practical environment, and helps reduce risks and accidents within laboratories.
