The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Role of Women in Education and Community Building,” delivered by Dr. Waleed Jassim Abbas, in the presence of Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi, along with a number of faculty and staff members. This event was held as part of the College’s commitment to meaningful cultural and awareness activities. The workshop highlighted the importance of empowering women in the field of education and their pivotal role in shaping future generations and building societal awareness, in addition to their contributions across various scientific and humanitarian fields. It also addressed the challenges women face in their educational and professional journeys, as well as ways to support and strengthen their active presence in higher education institutions. The College affirmed that this workshop aligns with its vision of promoting human and social values within the university environment and spreading a culture of equality and equal opportunities, contributing to the development of a conscious and cohesive society. This initiative also reflects the College’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals by empowering women and enhancing their role in educational and community development.
