The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness workshop entitled “Racism and Its Threat to Society,” delivered by Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Athraa Yahya Al-Hijjazi, with the attendance of a number of faculty and staff members. The event was held as part of the College’s efforts to promote social awareness and reinforce humanitarian values within the university environment. The workshop addressed the concept of racism, its various forms, and its negative impact on individuals and communities, including how it leads to social division and weakens the spirit of coexistence and cooperation. The lecturer emphasized the importance of respecting cultural and social diversity, and of promoting a culture of tolerance and acceptance of others as a foundation for building a cohesive and balanced society. The College administration stated that organizing such workshops reflects its educational and humanitarian mission to prepare students and staff with strong ethical and social awareness. These initiatives also align with the principles of social sustainability by fostering a university environment based on mutual respect, equality, and the rejection of discrimination in all its forms.
