The College of Dentistry at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness workshop entitled “Extremism,” delivered by Dr. Mohammed Fares Jabbaz, with the attendance of a number of faculty and staff members. This event was part of a series of intellectual and educational activities aimed at promoting social awareness within the university community. The workshop discussed the concept of extremism, its causes, and its negative impact on individuals and society, highlighting the importance of intellectual moderation and constructive dialogue in confronting radical ideas. It also emphasized the role of educational institutions in promoting a culture of tolerance, openness, and respect for diversity, thereby contributing to the creation of a safe and intellectually balanced university environment. The College affirmed that organizing this workshop reflects its educational and social responsibility to prepare a conscious generation capable of distinguishing between moderate and extremist ideas. These initiatives also align with the principles of social sustainability by supporting intellectual and social stability and reinforcing the values of peaceful coexistence within the university community and beyond.
