The Department of Industrial College Technologies organized a scientific lecture for first-year students entitled Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance. The lecture was delivered by the department coordinator, Asst. Lecturer Zainab Ali Mohsen, and aimed to highlight the importance of education and its role in building students’ personalities and developing their life paths. Held on January 25, 2026, the lecture addressed several important themes, most notably the question of why we learn and the benefits education brings to an individual’s life. It emphasized the necessity of not limiting the purpose of education to employment alone, but rather considering it a lifelong journey that contributes to raising awareness and building intellectual and human capacities. The lecture also encouraged students to make positive use of the educational environment to develop their personal skills, enhance self-confidence, and focus on self-development in line with academic and professional life requirements.
