The Quality Committee in the Anesthesia Techniques Department held a coordination meeting with the Quality Representative of the Deanship of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Dr. Ahmed Najm, as part of efforts to follow up on the implementation of academic accreditation standards and enhance the quality of the educational process, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), which aims to ensure inclusive and high-quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
During the meeting, mechanisms for monitoring the implementation of the approved academic accreditation standards were discussed, and the level of progress achieved by the department was reviewed. Challenges that may hinder the application of these standards were also identified, along with appropriate solutions in accordance with quality and accreditation requirements.
The meeting also included work on the translation and review of the ten academic accreditation standards to ensure their clarity and accuracy, in preparation for their adoption in the department’s plans and official documents. This is intended to contribute to improving academic and administrative performance and achieving distinguished educational outcomes.
Both parties emphasized the importance of continuous coordination between the department and the college deanship to ensure optimal implementation of quality standards and to support the college’s strategic direction in advancing the scientific and professional level of graduates of the Anesthesia Techniques Department.
