Forensic Evidence Department Organizes Workshop to Develop Students’ Skills in Advanced Biological Devices

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Asst. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, with oversight by the Head of the Forensic Evidence Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sami Abdul Hussein Habbana, the Forensic Evidence Department organized a specialized educational workshop for students, aimed at developing their practical skills in using advanced biological devices. The workshop included intensive hands-on training on the latest laboratory equipment used in biological forensic analysis, with direct supervision from specialized faculty members. It focused on equipping students with advanced practical skills, linking theoretical knowledge with practical experience, and enhancing their academic and professional readiness. Officials emphasized that organizing such activities aims to strengthen students’ scientific and research capabilities, and encourage innovation and academic excellence, in line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of providing a comprehensive and advanced learning environment. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting practical and interactive learning for students. Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through preparing graduates with practical skills for the workforce. Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by enabling students to work with advanced laboratory technologies and fostering scientific innovation. The workshop underscores the Forensic Evidence Department’s commitment to integrating theoretical education with practical experience, and promoting research and innovation among students to achieve academic excellence and high professional standards.
