A specialized workshop on the fundamentals of cybersecurity was held, aiming to raise students’ awareness of the importance of protecting systems, networks, and data, while introducing core concepts, common cyber threats, and information security principles. The workshop also highlighted the concept of ethical hacking and its significance in strengthening system security. In addition, the role of ACM in developing students’ capabilities was emphasized through scientific activities, competitions, and workshops that help refine technical skills and promote teamwork. The workshop was organized under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Noor Abdul Kareem from the College of Engineering Technologies – Department of Communication Engineering Technologies, and Lecturer Najwan Thaer Ali from the College of Science – Department of Medical Physics, providing students with clear guidance to choose the right path in cybersecurity, adhere to professional ethics, and build a successful academic and professional future
