Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in partnership with the European–Asian Universities Union (EURAS), Future University launched the EURAS Academy 2026 Forum, marking the first international event of its kind in Iraq, with wide participation from higher education leaders, decision-makers, and academics from Iraq and abroad. The opening ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, President of EURAS and President of Istanbul Aydin University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydin, and President of Future University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, along with a large number of university presidents, deans, faculty members, and researchers. The forum emphasized the importance of international academic cooperation, the internationalization of higher education, and building strategic partnerships to enhance the quality of university education and keep pace with global transformations, particularly in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and quality assurance.
