As part of enhancing health awareness and promoting scientific culture among students, the Department of biology at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific awareness workshop entitled “Cervical Cancer”, presented and supervised by Lecturer Assistant (M.M.) Doha Salah Sahib. The workshop was held within the framework of scientific activities aimed at shedding light on important health issues. The workshop took place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Al-Mustaqbal University – Humanities Building. It was attended by the academic staff of the Department of Life Sciences, along with department students, in an interactive scientific atmosphere reflecting the growing interest in health awareness topics. The workshop addressed the definition of cervical cancer, its main causes and associated risk factors, in addition to explaining prevention methods and the importance of early screening in reducing the spread of the disease and minimizing its complications. It also highlighted the role of health awareness in promoting preventive behavior within the community, emphasizing the importance of following approved medical guidelines. The workshop witnessed positive interaction from students through questions and discussions, which contributed to deepening scientific understanding of the topic and achieving the workshop’s awareness objectives.
