Scientific Workshop Titled “Cancer Detection Using Artificial Intelligence” in the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Future, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences, Dr. Abdul-Kadhim Abdul-Kareem, the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences at the College of Science, University of Future, held a scientific workshop entitled “Cancer Detection Using Artificial Intelligence”, presented by Ms. Aya Mohammed and Assistant Instructor Baneen Nazim. The workshop was held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, and was attended by a number of faculty members and students of the department. The workshop addressed the concept of using artificial intelligence techniques in the medical field, particularly in diagnosing cancer diseases through the analysis of medical data and radiological images using intelligent algorithms. It also discussed the mechanisms of machine learning and deep learning models and their role in early cancer detection, highlighting their importance in improving diagnostic accuracy and reducing medical errors. The workshop aimed to enhance students’ scientific awareness, link academic knowledge with modern practical applications, and highlight the role of artificial intelligence in supporting the healthcare sector and keeping pace with rapid technological advancements. The University of Future is considered one of the leading private universities and holds first place among Iraqi private universities.
