As part of the activities of the Educational and Psychological Guidance Unit for the month of February, an awareness seminar entitled “Managing Stress and Exam Anxiety among University Students” was held on Sunday, 1/2/2026, targeting first-year students. The seminar aimed to provide psychological and academic support to students throughout their university journey.
The seminar was delivered by Asst. Lecturer Montadhar Saleh Mahdi and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan, and addressed several key topics focusing on the causes of exam anxiety, its psychological and academic impacts, as well as practical strategies for stress management and building psychological balance. This contributes to enhancing students’ self-confidence and improving their academic performance.
This seminar aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by promoting mental health and preventing the negative effects of stress and anxiety.
Goal 4: Quality Education, by providing a supportive learning environment that enhances the quality of education and prepares students psychologically to achieve academic success.
