College of Health and Medical Technologies Commemorates World Cancer Day by Holding an Awareness Scientific Seminar

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized a scientific seminar on the occasion of World Cancer Day, which falls on February 4th, under the slogan “United by Unique”, as part of efforts to raise health awareness about the importance of early detection and to support national and global initiatives in the fight against cancer. The seminar included scientific and educational lectures covering breast cancer and skin cancer, focusing on raising awareness about the disease, the importance of early diagnosis, preventive measures, and highlighting the role of health education in reducing the spread of cancer and promoting a culture of health awareness in the community. The seminar was supervised by Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qaim, Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, with the participation of a distinguished group of doctors from Al-Hilla Teaching Hospital, including: Dr. Walaa Nouri, Dr. Bashar Al-Araji, Dr. Hussein Safaa, Dr. Kazem Al-Jaifri, and Dr. Sarah Abdulhassan Hamza, in support of achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3, which relates to good health and well-being. The seminar was also organized under the supervision of Eng. Hawraa Halim Al-Qaim, Head of the Student Activities Division at the college, emphasizing the vital role of academic institutions in promoting health awareness and preventive culture in society.
