Lecturer Zahraa Mohammed Al-Jubouri, from the Department of Media at the University of Al-Mustaqbal, has won membership of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate in the elections held at the Syndicate’s headquarters on Saturday, 7 February 2026. Al-Jubouri’s victory came after her participation in the elections organized by the Syndicate to select a number of new members, amid wide attendance by journalists and media professionals, and under the supervision of specialized committees to ensure the integrity and transparency of the electoral process. Al-Jubouri is considered one of the distinguished academic figures in the field of media, contributing to the development of both the academic and professional skills of Media Department students at the University of Al-Mustaqbal, in addition to her scientific and professional contributions to journalism. This achievement represents an important addition to the academic institution she belongs to and reflects the active role of academics in supporting journalistic work and strengthening the relationship between academic education and professional practice in Iraq.
