The Department Presidency organized an educational workshop entitled “From Commitment to Excellence: Discipline as an Educational Value,” presented by the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Fatima Hashim Abbas, and Ms. Shahd Nawras Abbas, on Monday 2/2/2026, in the presence of first-year students. The workshop aimed to enhance the concept of self-discipline and establish it as a fundamental value in the educational journey, due to its pivotal role in building students’ personalities and developing their academic and behavioral abilities. The two lecturers discussed the importance of commitment in achieving academic success and excellence, in addition to presenting real-life examples and practical methods to help students organize their time and take responsibility. The workshop witnessed remarkable interaction from the students through discussions and contributions that enriched the topics of the meeting and contributed to deepening their understanding of the concept of discipline and its impact on academic and professional life. At the conclusion of the workshop, the two lecturers emphasized the importance of continuing to hold such purposeful educational activities, as they have a positive impact on raising awareness and building a conscious generation capable of achieving excellence and success.
