As part of ongoing efforts to raise environmental awareness and understand community perspectives on various environmental pollution issues, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering launched a campaign to distribute questionnaires and conduct field surveys aimed at collecting data on citizens’ perceptions of pollution levels, its causes, impacts, and possible solutions. The campaign was carried out under the supervision of Lecturer Assistant Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan. The questionnaires included targeted questions for participants regarding different types of pollution (air, water, and soil), the extent of pollution’s impact on public health and quality of life, as well as an evaluation of the role of governmental bodies and the community in mitigating this phenomenon. They also assessed individuals’ willingness to participate in environmental initiatives and adopt behavioral changes to reduce pollution.
