The Aesthetic and Laser Techniques Department conducted an awareness workshop titled “Intellectual Extremism: Causes, Risks, and Social Prevention”, targeting second-year students. The workshop took place on Tuesday, 10/2/2026, at 10:00 AM, with a large number of students in attendance. The workshop addressed the concept of intellectual extremism, its psychological, social, and cultural causes, as well as its risks to individuals and society. It also highlighted ways to prevent it by promoting intellectual awareness and strengthening the values of dialogue and national belonging. During the session, the lecturer emphasized the important role of educational institutions in spreading moderate culture and building students’ personalities on sound principles that contribute to protecting society from extremist ideas. The workshop witnessed active participation from the students through discussions and questions, reflecting their interest in the topic and their eagerness to benefit from the workshop’s content, in line with the department’s efforts to enhance intellectual and social awareness among students.
