The Department of Anesthesia Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized a scientific and practical field visit on Tuesday, 10/2/2026, for students of the department to the Babylon Health Directorate / Marjan Medical Hospital, specifically to the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Unit.
The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Fadhil Al-Sultani, Director of Marjan Medical City, Dr. Amasi Falah, Mr. Ali Qasim Jawad, Ms. Doha Ali Khudair, and Ms. Zahraa Emad Alwan. Their direct supervision played a significant role in the success of the visit and the achievement of its scientific and training objectives.
The visit aimed to enhance the scientific and practical knowledge of Anesthesia Techniques students. It included theoretical explanations provided by the anesthesia staff in the CPR unit, as well as practical training on how to receive patients in intensive care units, assess their health conditions, and learn how to deal with the most common critical cases admitted to the unit.
This visit also supported one of the Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being) by developing students’ skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation units, thereby contributing to improving patient care and enhancing the quality of health services provided in the future after students join the labor market.
The visit was organized through continuous coordination between the department’s staff and the anesthesia staff at Marjan Medical City. Students entered the intensive care wards in rotations to reduce overcrowding, ensure maximum educational benefit, and avoid any negative impact on workflow or public interest.
