Scientific Activity: Training Laboratory Staff on the Preparation and Management of GLP Files in Accordance with Quality Standards

The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized a specialized scientific activity entitled “Training Laboratory Staff on the Preparation and Management of GLP Files in Accordance with Quality Standards.” The training was delivered by Engineer Aya Talib Hassan, Head of the Department’s Laboratories, with the aim of enhancing the efficiency of laboratory personnel and strengthening compliance with international standards in documentation and quality control. The training covered the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), mechanisms for preparing laboratory files and records, document organization, and ensuring data accuracy and traceability. This contributes to improving laboratory performance, reducing errors, and enhancing the credibility of scientific results. This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly: Goal 4: Quality Education, by developing laboratory staff skills and enhancing the quality of the educational process. Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by supporting a laboratory environment based on robust quality systems. Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, through adopting documentation and organizational practices that reduce waste and promote efficient use of resources. This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to fostering a culture of quality and academic accreditation while building an integrated laboratory system aligned with international standards.
