Al Mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the Babylon Traffic Directorate, hosted the first scientific forum aimed at reducing road accidents under the theme “Towards a Scientific Strategy to Reduce Road Accidents,” with the participation of academics, security officials, and executive directors in the governorate.
The forum was held under the supervision of His Excellency Minister of Interior Mr. Abdul Amir Kamel Al-Shammari, with follow-up by Director General of Traffic, Major General Dr. Uday Samir Halim, and supervision of Director of Babylon Traffic, Major General Salam Nouri Al-Awadi, serving as a platform that links scientific research with practical applications to reduce traffic accidents.
The forum included participation from professors and researchers from Babylon University and Al Mustaqbal University, along with directors of relevant departments and several specialized lecturers. The main topics covered included the use of artificial intelligence and digital systems to reduce accidents, research studies on accident causes and risk points, and practical strategies to improve road safety and promote community awareness.
Organizers emphasized that such initiatives represent an important step towards enhancing road safety and reducing human and material losses, and that Al Mustaqbal University will continue to host events that bridge scientific research with practical applications for the benefit of the community.
