The Department of biology launched an awareness campaign entitled “Together for a Safe Society for Women and Girls” on Saturday, 14/2/2026, with the aim of promoting awareness about the importance of providing a safe environment free from violence and discrimination, safeguarding women’s dignity, and protecting their rights. The campaign was supervised by Assistant Lecturer Zainab Nazem Aziz and Assistant Lecturer Banin Ma’an Karim. It included the distribution of guidance brochures across Al-Mustaqbal University to students, featuring educational messages about the rights of women and girls, the importance of strengthening self-confidence, and rejecting negative behaviors that undermine their dignity or limit their active participation in society. The campaign also emphasized the need for cooperation among students, academic staff, and administrative personnel to reinforce the values of respect and equality and to build a safe university environment based on awareness and responsibility. This initiative aligns with national and international efforts supporting women’s empowerment and reinforces the role of academic institutions in raising social awareness and contributing to building a safe and just society that preserves the dignity of all its members.
