Within the framework of the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques pursuit of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Techniques – Al-Mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College Deanship, organized an awareness campaign entitled: The Risks of Cerebral stimulants on Brain Cells and Mental Health. The campaign was held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 The campaign addressed various brain-stimulating beverages and substances, discussing their effects on brain health, particularly their impact on memory, sleep deprivation, attention and concentration, and difficulties in information retention. It also included the distribution of educational brochures to university students. The brochures were distributed by first-year students of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy Technologies under the supervision of Ms. Ansam Fadhel Mahmoud Agha, Activities Coordinator of the Department. The primary objective of the campaign was to raise students’ awareness of the potential dangers and negative neurological effects of these stimulants on brain health. Additionally, the initiative sought to promote a safe and supportive educational environment, free from harmful neurocognitive influences, in alignment with the principles of sustainable development and quality education.
