The College of Health and Medical Technologies / Aesthetic and Laser Techniques Department at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness activity represented by the distribution of a brochure entitled “Violent Extremism: Concept, Motivations, and Mechanisms of Confrontation” on Wednesday, 11/2/2026. The activity was supervised and implemented by Ms. Huda Rafid Abdul Khaleq, with the participation of a number of department students. The brochure included a definition of the concept of violent extremism and highlighted the main factors leading to it, whether intellectual, social, or psychological. It also explained its dangers to community security and stability, and its negative impact on young people in particular. In addition, it emphasized the importance of early awareness, promoting a culture of moderation, and reinforcing the values of tolerance and constructive dialogue as essential means to limit the spread of this phenomenon. The supervisor of the activity affirmed that educational institutions play a pivotal role in raising awareness, correcting misconceptions, and building a conscious generation capable of distinguishing between moderate thinking and deviant ideas, which contributes to protecting society and strengthening its cohesion. AL_mustaqbal University is the first university in Iraq
