As part of strengthening the practical aspect of education and linking theoretical knowledge with real-world application, the College of Engineering – Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized a scientific visit to Al-Mustaqbal Hospital, with the participation of a number of students and faculty members. The visit aimed to explore the latest medical technologies and advanced healthcare practices.
The visit included a field tour of several specialized departments, where students observed workflow mechanisms within diagnostic and treatment units, as well as the technologies used in modern medical devices. They were also introduced to the quality management systems and occupational safety standards adopted by the hospital. In addition, participants attended a detailed presentation by the medical staff on how innovation is utilized to enhance healthcare efficiency and improve patient care.
The supervisors emphasized the importance of such scientific visits in refining students’ skills and developing their practical competencies, as they provide valuable opportunities for direct engagement with professional expertise and a deeper understanding of the healthcare work environment. The students, in turn, expressed their great appreciation for the experience, noting that it broadened their perspectives on recent advancements in the medical field.
