Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Arts and Humanities / Department of Media, organized an awareness seminar entitled “Digital Violence Against Women” on Sunday, 15/2/2026. The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturers Mais Mohammed Qasim, Sarah Hakem, and Sura Qasim. The seminar addressed the risks of online violations faced by women and highlighted forms of digital violence such as blackmail, defamation, harassment, and privacy breaches. It also discussed the psychological, social, and legal consequences of such violence, as well as methods of protection and reporting. This initiative comes within the framework of implementing the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace and Security, and in line with achieving the fifth Sustainable Development Goal on gender equality. Al-Mustaqbal University - the first private university in Iraq.
