On the occasion of the International Week for Preventing Violent Extremism, third-year students from the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries organized a distinguished awareness campaign titled **“Religion Is a Message of Peace.”** The campaign aimed to promote the values of tolerance, reject violence and extremism, and reinforce the concepts of moderation and peaceful coexistence among members of society. The campaign included a range of awareness activities, such as distributing educational brochures, displaying guidance posters throughout the college corridors, and holding discussion sessions that highlighted the positive role of religion in building societies and spreading love and peace. The organizers emphasized that this initiative stems from the students’ sense of social responsibility and their commitment to contributing to intellectual and cultural awareness. They noted that confronting extremism begins with conscious thought and purposeful words. Almustaqbal University is ranked first among Iraqi universities.
