The Department of Medical Biotechnology organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Importance of Turning Off Unused Laboratory Equipment”, supervised by Manar Kadhim Hassan and Madlula Muayyad Faiq, with the participation of students and staff members of the department. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about energy conservation in laboratories, maintain laboratory equipment efficiency, and reduce potential risks caused by leaving devices operating unnecessarily. The session also addressed proper procedures for shutting down laboratory equipment after use and highlighted its role in improving laboratory safety and work environment quality. The workshop witnessed active engagement from students through discussions and questions that contributed to strengthening scientific awareness regarding the optimal use of laboratory equipment, emphasizing the importance of following safety guidelines to ensure a safe and organized educational environment.
