As part of the awareness activities of the Department of Cybersecurity Engineering Technologies, an awareness event was conducted for the department and university students on the risks of cyberattacks, particularly electronic fraud (phishing), fake links, and the dangers of personal account breaches. The activity aimed to enhance cybersecurity awareness and raise the level of digital literacy among students while interacting with the online environment. The event highlighted common types of cyberattacks and explained their mechanisms, in addition to providing practical guidelines on how to verify the credibility of electronic links, create strong passwords, and adopt safe browsing practices. The activity was supervised by Mr. Yasser Amer, reflecting the department’s commitment to developing both the cognitive and practical skills of students and linking academic concepts to real-world challenges in the field of cybersecurity.
