As part of its commitment to its academic and societal role in promoting intellectual awareness and reinforcing the values of moderation, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering launched an awareness campaign titled “Violent Extremism Is a Threat to the Individual and Society,” under the supervision of Teaching Assistant Mohammed Habib Hussein. The campaign aimed to spread a culture of moderation and enhance community awareness of the dangers of extremist ideologies and their negative impact on security and stability. This campaign reflects the department’s dedication to contributing to a safe university environment based on dialogue and openness, and to intellectually empowering students against manifestations of extremism and violence through educational initiatives that promote sound thinking and social responsibility. The campaign included a series of educational activities, such as awareness lectures addressing the concept of violent extremism, its causes, and prevention strategies.
