Professor Ahmed Khudair Al‑Hameeri, Head of the Anesthesia Techniques Department at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al‑Mustaqbal University, chaired the committee for a Master’s thesis defense at the College of Education for Pure Sciences, Department of Life Sciences, University of Karbala, on Tuesday morning at nine o’clock. The defense was conducted for the Master’s student Taghreed Abdulwahab for her thesis entitled An Immunological, Biochemical, and Hematological Study of a Sample of Patients with Cutaneous Leishmaniasis. The study addressed several important immunological indicators, including selected interleukins and chemokines, in addition to examining oxidative stress markers and certain hematological parameters. The results demonstrated statistically significant differences in patients with cutaneous leishmaniasis compared with the control group. This scientific participation reflects the active academic role of Professor Ahmed Khudair Al-Hameeri in supporting scientific research and strengthening academic cooperation among Iraqi universities, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal Three Good Health and Well-Being and Goal Four Quality Education.
