The Department of Media at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific seminar on February 14 entitled “Cyber Addiction,” presented by Dr. Haider Abdul Karim and Assistant Lecturer Hamed Shaker Karim, in the presence of a number of faculty members and students. The seminar addressed the concept of cyber addiction, its psychological and social causes, and its impact on academic performance and social relationships. It also emphasized the importance of maintaining digital balance and promoting a culture of responsible technology use. The event concluded with recommendations calling for guidance and awareness programs to help reduce the phenomenon. Al-Mustaqbal University is the first private university in Iraq.
