Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the Dean of the College of Science, and under the direct supervision of the Head of the Forensic Evidence Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Abdul Hussein Habbana, students of the Forensic Evidence Department organized a scientific practical activity simulating a crime scene scenario.
The event was held at Al-Mustaqbal University on Sunday, 15/2/2026, in the Central Activities Hall – Engineering Building, Third Floor. The simulation portrayed the potential consequences faced by a drug dealer and an addict, ultimately leading to a criminal act, while highlighting the essential role of the forensic expert in examining, documenting, and analyzing evidence at the crime scene.
The activity was attended by guests from Al-Muthanna University, represented by the Dean of the College and a large number of students, in addition to a wide attendance of students and faculty members from the College of Science. The Forensic Evidence students demonstrated active and distinguished participation throughout the event.
The College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University played a central role in organizing and implementing the activity, reaffirming its commitment to integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application. The College supervised the preparation of the crime scenario, the setup of the simulated crime scene with various forensic evidence elements, and the execution of standard investigative procedures, including documentation, photography, evidence collection, and analysis.
Pre-event training sessions were conducted to ensure students were fully prepared to handle crime scene procedures professionally and to draft technical forensic reports in accordance with scientific standards.
Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Abdul Hussein Habbana directly supervised and guided the students academically and practically, emphasizing the importance of such activities in enhancing students’ professional competencies and readiness for the labor market. The Deanship of the College of Science provided full logistical and academic support to ensure the success of the event.
The event witnessed wide attendance and strong engagement, with dozens of participants from within and outside Al-Mustaqbal University, reflecting the growing interest in forensic sciences and their societal importance. This initiative aligns with the university’s mission to prepare qualified professionals capable of contributing effectively to justice and community service.
