Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the Dean of the College of Science, and under the direct supervision of the Head of the Forensic Evidence Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Abdul Hussein Habbana, the Forensic Evidence Department at the College of Science organized an educational workshop on how to write a graduation research paper on Tuesday, 10-2-2026, with the attendance of a large number of students.
The College of Science played a central role in planning and implementing the workshop as part of its strategy to strengthen students’ research and academic skills. The College prepared the scientific framework of the workshop, organized its main themes according to approved academic standards, and provided the necessary educational tools and guidance materials to support students in preparing their graduation projects.
The workshop covered the essential steps of scientific research writing, including selecting a research topic, defining the research problem, formulating hypotheses, applying appropriate research methodologies, and adhering to proper academic referencing systems.
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Huwaida Nazzal Hussein, who provided a detailed explanation of the principles of academic research writing and highlighted common mistakes students should avoid. She also emphasized the importance of academic integrity and proper citation practices, in addition to explaining how to prepare and present a research proposal effectively.
Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Abdul Hussein Habbana directly supervised the workshop proceedings, stressing the importance of graduation research as a fundamental milestone in students’ academic journey and reaffirming the department’s commitment to offering continuous academic support and guidance.
The workshop witnessed wide participation, with dozens of senior students attending and actively engaging through questions and discussions regarding research topic selection, data analysis, and result presentation. This strong attendance reflects the students’ growing awareness of the importance of scientific research and their dedication to producing high-quality graduation projects.
Through such initiatives, the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to demonstrate its commitment to preparing qualified graduates equipped with solid research skills in line with modern academic standards.
