A delegation from the Department of Chemical Engineering at University of Kufa visited the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries at Al-Mustaqbal University as part of efforts to strengthen academic cooperation and scientific exchange between higher education institutions. During the visit, the delegation toured the department’s laboratories and reviewed the modern equipment available, as well as the mechanisms adopted in conducting practical experiments and integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on application. This contributes to developing students’ skills and enhancing their scientific competencies. The visit also included discussions on exchanging expertise and exploring opportunities for joint research, co-supervision of graduation projects, and the organization of specialized workshops and seminars. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening academic partnerships in line with scientific advancements in chemical engineering and petroleum industries, in a way that supports higher education outcomes and meets labor market needs. This visit aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, which calls for strengthening cooperation among institutions and promoting knowledge and expertise exchange to achieve sustainable development based on scientific and academic integration.
