Al_Mustaqbal University has achieved another academic milestone, adding to its record of successes at both the local and international levels, with the election of two of its professors to the UNESCO Sectoral Council for Green Economy and Digital Economy. This achievement reflects the university's advanced scientific standing and the competence of its teaching staff. Dr. Salwan Obaid Waheed, Director of the Energy Research Center, was elected as the council's rapporteur in recognition of his extensive research experience and distinguished contributions to the fields of sustainable energy and the green economy. Dr. Mohammed Maitham Obaid, Head of the Scientific Affairs Division, was also elected as a council member, acknowledging his effective academic and administrative experience in supporting scientific research and promoting digital transformation. This accomplishment comes with the direct support of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, reflecting the university's commitment to empowering its scientific talent and enhancing its presence in international forums.
