In line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, inaugurated two newly established specialized laboratories at the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Department of Optical Technologies, in a significant step aimed at enhancing scientific training and strengthening the practical skills of students, in line with academic quality standards and labor market requirements in the healthcare sector. The inauguration included the Ocular Prosthetics Laboratory, which focuses on practical training in ocular prosthetic techniques, particularly the fabrication of cosmetic artificial eyes. This laboratory contributes to developing students’ applied skills according to the latest scientific and technological advancements in this field, under the supervision of specialized academic staff. In addition, the Pediatric Ophthalmology Examination Laboratory was officially opened. This laboratory specializes in training students in clinical examination methods and the early diagnosis of visual disorders in children, reinforcing the principles of prevention and early detection, and enhancing the quality of evidence-based healthcare services. The opening ceremony featured practical demonstrations by fourth-year students in handling real clinical cases. The University President expressed his admiration for the students’ high level of competence and professional skills, praising the efforts of the college administration and department leadership in providing a modern and advanced educational environment. The inauguration of these two laboratories reflects the university presidency’s commitment to establishing a contemporary educational infrastructure that supports the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application, and contributes to preparing qualified healthcare professionals capable of delivering distinguished services that meet community needs and keep pace with scientific developments in health and medical technologies.
