Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences, Dr. AbdulKadhim AbdulKareem, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, The Women’s Affairs Unit at the Department of Artificial Intelligence Sciences / College of Science organized a scientific awareness workshop entitled: “Together Against Violence: Promoting a Culture of Respect and Protecting Women” The workshop was delivered by Lecturer Samar Hussein Hilal on Sunday, February 22, 2026, in the presence of faculty members and students. The workshop addressed the concept of violence in its various forms, particularly domestic and societal violence, highlighting its psychological and social causes and its negative impact on individuals, families, and society. It also reviewed the most prominent legal frameworks and regulations that ensure the protection of women, as well as the role of academic institutions in promoting mutual respect and reinforcing the principles of justice and equality. Furthermore, the workshop emphasized the importance of community awareness, enhancing students’ understanding of reporting mechanisms and psychological and social support services, and highlighting the active role of women in building society and participating in various fields of life. The workshop aimed to promote a culture of rejecting all forms of violence, reinforce values of tolerance and respect, and create a safe and supportive university environment that upholds human dignity and protects rights. This activity reflects the continuous commitment of Al-Mustaqbal University to supporting awareness initiatives and community engagement, reaffirming its leading position among private universities in Iraq and its dedication to advancing both the academic and humanitarian development of its students.
